Cookbook Galore @ BookFest 2011

chinese books
First day at the book fair organised by Popular Bookstore and I would say “WOW!” to the selection available. Do not expect very niche titles from Pierre Herme or Laduree but I can say  that the spread is very decent indeed! See for yourself!

baking discount tag
Regular-priced English baking books are going at 20% discount for one and 25% for two or more!
cake pops
Some of the books are already “on bargain” being tagged “great buys below 15/10”.
okashi ishida
A familiar book amongst local bakers. Good chance to get a copy if you havent gotten yours!
cupcake cookbook
lots of cupcake books around! Just nice for this month’s AB theme!
richard bertinet
Richard Bertinet, an esteemed frenchman who does a really wicked brioche  kneading technique. You can find his video online!
women's weekly
A wide selection of Women’s Weekly titles
And what’s a cook book fair without the Kitchen Goddess!
And of course Jamie Oliver
Kylie Kwong, the Nigella from down under. Oh wait, that would be Donna Hay… so what does that make Kylie… hmm…. nevermind!!! LOL
english books
More bargain titles… zombie cupcakes, anyone? 🙂
bread book
quite a few bread titles too… all under bargain!
And some non-baking or cooking titles….. BORING!!!!!!!!!!
From the owners of Obolo…
party cakes
more cupcakes!
cute cupcakes
and more cupcakes!!!
cupcakes 1
need i say more? browse even if you don’t wanna buy. and make some REAL cupcakes already!!!!
and here’s one more… lots more where this came from!
thomas keller
Something that I was eyeing on until I saw the price tag. Its cheaper over online websites, even after the bookfest discount. So if you are getting something with a regular price tag, do your homework first to see if there’s a better bargain around elsewhere!
meng pricing
Lelong ah!!!!
meng books
meng books 1
carol pricing
dr wu
masa 2
masa 1
Masa Masa!
seashore shelves
seashore new
seashore cakepops
cheap seashore
newer seashore
patsie cheong
seashore nonya
new seashore
indulgence cheesecake Alan Kok
msia books
da pai dang
dessert book
french patisserie
china book

that’s the end of my field report! And of course there are many many many more titles to browse, buy and compare!

Oh that’s such a shame. Hope that u would be able to get a copy from a bookstore near you. You might wish to request PageOne in HK to bring it in for you if they don’t already have a copy in store. Do check with them.
